چکیده
Background: Urinary tract infection (UTI) is one of the leading causes worldwide. P. aeruginosa a versatile opportunistic pathogen and it third most common organism causing nosocomial urinary infections. With widespread use antibiotics, multidrug resistance pseudomonas continues to go up rapidly. This increases risk mortality morbidity.
Objective: To determine prevalence understand current statistics its antimicrobial pattern.
Methods: retrospective study was conducted from January 2019 December 2020 in Department Microbiology, Bangladesh Medical College Hospital, Dhaka. Clean catch mid-stream urine samples were collected sterile containers. The cultured on CLED agar media with standard calibrated loop incubated at 370C overnight. grows well 25°C 37°C, ability grow 42°C helped distinguish other Pseudomonas species. Antibiotic sensitivity test done according Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute (CLSI) guideline.
Results: A total 10427 sample received department Microbiology BMCH during these two years. Isolation rate aeroginosa 4% increased 6% 2020. Piperacillin/Tazobactam showed which 63.33% 82% 2020, followed by imipenem, meropenem, amikacin, ciprofloxacin, ceftazidime aztreonam; 50% 60% an average. Sensitivity Gentamycin (13.33% & 30.3% 2020), Netilmicin (20% 2020) Ceftriaxone 12.3% found very low.
Conclusion: isolates culture increasing hospital admitted patient becoming resistant multiple antibiotics frightening.

متن کاملHospital and Community Isolates of Uropathogens and their Antibiotic Sensitivity Pattern from a Tertiary Care Hospital in North West India
BACKGROUND Urinary tract infection remains one of the most common infections, both in the community and in the hospital. The causative pathogen profile varies from region to region, but Escherichia coli (E. coli) remains the most common causative pathogen. The sensitivity of uropathogens to different drugs varies in different areas, and changes with time. This necessitates periodic studies of t...
